Fifty year collection of Martha Verville of Modesto, Calif. to go on the auction block January 3, 2010 at 9:00 a.m. at the Fairgrounds "Eastman Building" in Chowchilla, CA. Auction to be conducted by Hewletts Antique Auctions of Le Grand, CA. Buster Hewlett says there are thousands and thousands of pieces of depression glass in this collection. He's never seen this amount of depression glass in one place. So many different patterns, colors and shapes you can't describe it all. Martha was a long time avid dealer and collector. Every drawer, every cupboard, every room, every closet, every giant showcase in the garage was packed to the hilt. In addition to the depression glass, we have hundreds of pieces of Jewel-T, we have art glass, collection of toys, nice selection of Little Red Riding Hood, Salt & Pepper Collection, Roseville and other pottery, lamps, china and just to many items to describe. It's taking quite a while to get everything segregated but we are hoping to have everything on the Internet a week before the auction. This auction will be live with Proxibid.
